RAV4 TPMS Reset

Official procedure for 2006 models.

Before you start

  • Verify spare tire pressure
  • Ignition must be ON

Inflate all 4 main tires AND the spare tire (on the rear door) to the pressure listed on your door jamb sticker.

Turn the ignition to the 'ON' position (do not start the engine).

Locate the small, round 'SET' button hidden deep under the steering wheel dash or inside the glovebox.

Press and hold the button until the TPMS light on the dash blinks slowly 3 times.

Drive the vehicle above 20 mph for several minutes. The light should turn off.
